The Role of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors report to the ownership and they serve at the will of the ownership.

The Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring the association operates efficiently, fairly, and it complies with all association, local, state, and federal regulations. The Board operates like a City or County Commission setting policies and procedures as to how the association shall operate on a daily basis. It can set policies on how the common amenities and common areas may be used.

The Board will elect officers to divide up various responsibilities.

The Board has to be careful it does not overstep its level of authority and deny the homeowners their rights and obligations.
